The president and the board members of Grupo Fuertes and ElPozo Alimentación have had their contribution to the development of the meat industry recognised
ANICE, the main business organisation for the Spanish meat industry, has presented an award to the three siblings of the Fuertes Fernández family in the Business Career category. Tomás, Juana and José, president and board members respectively of the Grupo Fuertes holding company and ElPozo Alimentación, have today received recognition for their contribution to the evolution of the meat industry both nationally and internationally.
These accolades, which are in their second edition, recognise through five different categories the work of figures, companies and institutions in different fields in favour of the meat industry.
Tomás, Juana and José Fuertes have managed, after a professional career of 63 years, to place ElPozo Alimentación among the leaders of the international meat industry, providing the organisation with such fundamental values as effort, overcoming difficulties and teamwork.
All the decisions taken by the Fuertes Siblings business-wise are aimed at consumer satisfaction. As a reward for this strategy, ElPozo has been the most consumed Brand in Spanish households over the last year, according to the ‘Brand Footprint’ ranking carried out by the consultancy firm Kantar Worldpanel.
From ElPozo Alimentación, the Fuertes siblings have created the Grupo Fuertes holding Company, made up of twenty companies strategically organized in two large business areas: the agri-food sector and the area of diversification. The group has a turnover of more than 1,500 million euros, provides direct employment to more than 6,500 people and creates 33,500 jobs indirectly.
