The Association of Rare Diseases and Other Serious Developmental Conditions D’Genes, has awarded the natural mineral water company Aquadeus with the D’Genes Award 2016 for Solidarity Company, for its support to this collective and its collaboration in the activities which the association undertakes.

With these accolades D’Genes recognises the work of people, institutions or collectives which, through direct or indirect contact with those affected by rare conditions, try to achieve a better quality of life.

These distinctions, which are now in their eighth year, are awarded on Rare Disease Day, which is commemorated today, 29th February. The objective of this celebration is to make people more aware of rare diseases and the difficult situations experienced by the families of the people who suffer these illnesses.

Together with Aquadeus, other institutions have also received awards, such as the Official Pharmaceutical College of the Region of Murcia, Cehegín’s Town Council or the Aerial surveillance Squadron nº13 from Totana, as well as representatives from different associations and collectives such as the paediatrician José Ángel de Ayala or the director of the Ana Music Group, Ana Tudela.
