Aquadeus receives the FEDER Civil Society Involvement award 2019 from the hands of Queen Letizia
The award is a result of its economic support and help to give visibility to rare diseases through the ‘Drops of Hope’ initiative
The natural mineral water company Aquadeus, part of Grupo Fuertes, has received the FEDER (The Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases) recognition award 2019 for Civil Society Involvement for its economic support and contribution to raising visibility of the Spanish movement for rare diseases.
The award was presented to the company’s Sales Director, Julián Garre, by Queen Letizia in the official World Rare Diseases Day ceremony held today in the Duque de Pastrana complex in Madrid.
More specifically, Aquadeus carried out the ‘Drops of Hope’ campaign to contribute to research of these medical conditions. The company gave the pack of 1L Aquadues Bienestar bottles a solidarity design which included the slogan ‘Research is our hope’. The company donated 15 cents to FEDER for each pack sold, thus raising, after distributing 200,000 bottles all over Spain, 30,000 euros.
Aquadeus is a company with wide ranging social work and is present in numerous events organised by NGOs and other charitable organisations with the objective of helping to raise funds for the organisations which most need them. It currently collaborates with organisations including Manos Unidos, UNICEF, Cáristas, Food Banks and with the Fight Against Cancer Association (AECC).
The natural mineral water company has its spring in the natural protected beauty spot of El Arquillo, surrounding the Sierra de Alcaraz (Albacete). For its chemical composition it is one of the most balanced waters on the market.
