Vicente Micó, oenologist at Bodegas Luzón, collected the winery’s prize from Almudena Maíllo, Delegate for Tourism, who presided the event. In addition to the winery, prizes also went to other important figures including José Polo, sommelier at Atrio restaurant, the Basque Culinary Center, Horcher restaurant and Hebalife Nutrition, among others.
The jury recognised Bodegas Luzón’s focus on the efficient use of resources and their commitment to the conservation of the environment and natural heritage, as well as their innovative production of organic, vegan-friendly wines, which are clarified using entirely plant-based materials.
