“Vendimia Abierta” (open grape harvest) receives 30 per cent more visitors than last year

 Bodegas Luzón will bring 2017 to a close  with more than 6,500 participants, both Spanish as well as other nationalities, in the wide variety of wine tourism activities offered. This figure shows the population’s growing interest to get inside wine culture and, more specifically, to get to know the past and present of the winery from Jumilla.

The VI edition of the “Vendimia Abierta” days, with initiatives related to the wide and exciting world of wine, during this very special period, has concluded with a 30 per cent increase in the number of visitors with respect to last year. The most popular activities have been ‘Vendimia en Familia’ (grape harvest as a family) and ‘Enólogo por un día’ (Winemaker for a day). The astronomy workshops and the ‘Luzón Wine Fest’ have also been very well received, with more than 300 people attending.

Bodegas Luzón has marked as its main objective to preserve and expand wine culture by offering unique experiences to all visitors to its facilities, which are industrial heritage.  It is a modern and innovative company, full of energy, which combines the best of its past with an innovative character to make wines with a very pronounced personality.

The winery manages more than 500 hectares of vineyards enabling it to obtain excellent grapes of the monastrell variety.  This variety is native to the zone and from them they make elegant, fruity and pleasant wines which are increasingly better positioned in the market thanks to their meticulous elaboration.
