Cefusa donates health equipment to rural areas to help in the fight against COVID-19

7/04/2020

Cefusa, a livestock and farming company forming part of Grupo Fuertes, has distributed more than 30,000 units of health protection equipment and 700 litres of hydroalcoholic gel to various towns and villages in the three autonomous communities in which it operates. Additionally, via the Red Cross, it has donated PPE and other essential material to the hospitals of Hellin and Albacete (Castilla-La Mancha), and to Morales Meseguer General University Hospital in Murcia.

Cefusa’s efforts are yet another example of the solidarity being shown throughout the country through collaborating and helping by donating essential protection equipment, especially to rural areas and nearby hospitals. The company has been in contact with the mayors of several of these towns in order to meet their most urgent needs and provide them with equipment which guarantees that the collectives, volunteers and professionals that are most exposed to COVID-19 are adequately protected. The livestock company would also like to thank all of you for your effort and commitment during this difficult situation.

The material supplied by Cefusa has been mainly distributed to ten of the towns in which its farms are located. The majority of these places are in rural areas and have an elderly population, with the younger generations having left over the last few years. In this regard, through their business activity, primary sector companies such as Cefusa endeavour to attract younger generations to work in these towns and thus stabilise their population.

On the other hand, during this state of alert, Cefusa continues its production as it is considered an essential activity. Since the start of the health crisis, the company has implemented a strict safety protocol to ensure the health of its workers, and it is strictly adhering with the protocols established by the health authorities to prevent the spread of coronavirus and to protect against it.
