ElPozo Alimentacion, sponsor of the best flamenco festival in the world
The initiative is part of its corporate social responsibility policy
ElPozo Alimentación and the Cante de las Minas Foundation have today signed a collaboration agreement to maintain and disseminate flamenco. In this way, the company has committed itself to a great internationally renowned cultural event.
The Cante de las Minas Festival in La Unión has been declared to be of International Tourist Interest and has the Gold Medal of Merit in the Fine Arts. This event, which this year is celebrating its 57th edition, takes place from 2nd to 12th August in the Antiguo Mercado in La Unión, and brings together more than 20,000 people every year. The event is considered the best flamenco festival in the world, an art declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
The competitions and the end of the festival, which every year welcomes world class artists and discovers new talents from the artistic panorama including singers, guitarists, dancers and flamenco instrumentalists, will be available on streaming worldwide.
The mayor of La Unión and the President of the Cante de las Minas Foundation, Pedro López Milán has said that “this agreement has the objective of starting future initiatives aimed at disseminating flamenco, and this festival, jointly”. In addition, he stated “both institutions share an international character, ElPozo Alimentación through the exportation of its products and flamenco thanks to the origin of its enthusiasts, who come from all over the world.”
The initiative carried out by ElPozo Alimentación is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility policy aimed at the development and promotion of peoples’ quality of life.
