Grupo Fuertes invested 114 million euros in 2021 to increase the competitiveness of its businesses
The number of direct employees in the holding increased by 5.3 percent to 8,354 people
Turnover grew by 6.1 percent to 2,015 million euros, bursting the 2,000 million euro barrier
Grupo Fuertes invested 114 million euros over the last financial year to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of its companies, in a commitment to innovation, internationalisation and the strength of the brands with which it operates.
Grupo Fuertes’ human team grew by 5.3% last year, reaching an average staff of 8,354 people, in addition to fifty thousand indirect jobs generated by its business activity.
During the year 2021, the consolidated turnover of the companies making up Grupo Fuertes reached 2,015 million euros, bursting the 2,000 million euro barrier, a 6.1% increase compared to the previous year, with exports growing in strength. Business abroad grew by 4.4 percent.
Grupo Fuertes bases its business philosophy on constant improvement, reinvestment and sustainable development. The holding comprises a strong agro-food core and a collection of diversified investments which guarantee its solidity and future. In this sense, one of its main objectives is to create shared value for its consumers, clients, employees, suppliers, civil society and investors.
Prominent companies in its agro-food sector include Agrifusa (dedicated to agriculture), Cefusa (livestock), El Pozo Alimentación (protein-based meat products), Procavi (Spanish leader in turkey meat production), Sediasa (food fractioning and preparation centres as a service to distribution), Fripozo (deep-frozen foods), Aquadeus (bottling and commercialisation of natural mineral water), Bodegas Luzón (wineries in the Jumilla Denomination of Origin) and Palancares Alimentación (production of milk products and cheeses).
Grupo Fuertes’s diversification area encompasses the companies managed by the holding, whose activity is not agro-food. They include property developer Profusa, petrochemical company Aemedsa, and Vis Hoteles. In the field of leisure and entertainment, Grupo Fuertes has Terra Natura Benidorm and Murcia, two latest-generation animal parks.
In addition, Grupo Fuertes participates financially in businesses which operate in various sectors ranging from leisure, telecommunications, infrastructure and residential homes to RDI and biotechnology.
