Grupo Fuertes is investing in an international sustainable food project that is promoted by the Canadian company EVAH Group, which specialises in the biotechnology development and innovation. Several other companies from Canada, Europe and the United States are also involved in the project.

The Spanish company Grupo Fuertes is participating in this cutting-edge project that is based on the ‘One Health’ approach from the United Nations, which recognises the connection between the health of humans, animals and the environment. By participating in this project, whose goal is to feed the world’s population in a sustainable way, Grupo Fuertes is fulfilling its compromise to sustainability, innovation and its integration into the food and health sector.

This project is also being supported by several other large corporations and investors whose focus is on social, environmental and governance issues, and it is being backed by the Government of Quebec as well, the largest province in Canada, through its BioMed Propulsion programme from the Ministry for Economy and Innovation.
EVAH Group is a biotechnology company that specialises in the development of biological products designed to protect the health of animals. EVAH Group has an advisory board and its team is at the forefront of scientific innovation at an international level.

Grupo Fuertes is made up of more than 20 different companies, whose activities focus largely on the agri-food sector. These companies include El Pozo Alimentación, a leader in the sector whose products are found in 8 out of 10 homes in Spain, and Cefusa, a livestock company that belongs to this Spanish holding. The business group employees more than 8,000 people and it achieved 1,900 million euros in sales in 2020.
