Grupo Fuertes is awarded the ‘Mare Nostrum’ prize for its relationship with the Public Universities of the Region of Murcia
This is the first time that these recognitions have been issued by the Business, Employment, Universities and Spokesperson’s Office in conjunction with the Regional Confederation of Business Organisations of Murcia and the Development Institute of Murcia
Grupo Fuertes, a business holding made up of around twenty companies including ElPozo Alimentación, has been awarded the ‘Mare Nostrum’ prize for its close relationship to the public universities of the Region of Murcia.
Grupo Fuertes funds four programmes in different faculties with the objective of supporting research, training, and to make it easier for students to access the world of business.
Tomás Fuertes, the president of Grupo Fuertes, who received the prize from the hands of the rector of the University of Murcia, José Luján, has underlined the importance of developing a permanent exchange of knowledge between the universities and the company, especially in the field of RDI.
Tomás Fuertes has also stressed that it is absolutely necessary that the two entities maintain a close relationship to obtain excellent professionals.
Grupo Fuertes funds the Business Excellence Programme of the Faculty of Business and Economics, the Corporate Social Responsibility Programme of the Faculty of Business and Economics, the Food Safety and Sustainability Programme in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and the Sustainable Environmental Management of Pork Production Programme at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
