Grupo Fuertes presents its National Food Research award
The award has gone to a group of researchers from the Department of Comparative and Pathological Anatomy at the University of Cordoba with a research project on the prevention of respiratory complex in processed animals
The prize is organised by the Academy of Veterinary Science of the Region of Murcia in recognition of the work by the best professionals
Grupo Fuertes has awarded its National Food Research Prize to a group of researchers from the Department of Comparative and Pathological Anatomy at the University of Cordoba.
The winning work shows the importance of the prevention of the pig respiratory complex in processed animals, which could be applied in meat production technology, as well as being an important contribution to the study of meat quality.
The award was presented by the Managing Director of Grupo Fuertes, José Fuertes, to the authors of the research project: Irene Magdalena Rodríguez, Paula Andrea Carmona, Shyrley Paola Amarilla and Jaime Gómez.
This prize was organised by the Academy of Veterinary Science of the Region of Murcia with the aim of recognising the work of the best professionals in the field of livestock and agro-food industries. The award is aimed at pork-related research work in the field of food and health.
Grupo Fuertes is the first academic patron of the Academy of Veterinary Science of the Region of Murcia, a distinction which recognises the contribution of the holding company for the promotion and development of health sciences.
