The Grupo Fuertes laboratory drives disruptive ideas towards minimum viable products with a multi-sector business impact

LAB19, the experimental laboratory of Grupo Fuertes, the holding company comprising El Pozo Alimentación, has kicked off the second edition of its ‘Business Tech LAB’ innovation programme, which seeks to generate innovative ideas and non-existent projects through Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies.

For twelve weeks, six young talents, selected for their academic excellence, work on the development of solutions applicable to diverse sectors such as food, textiles, health, finance, tourism and agriculture, among others. In the first week of the programme alone, 53 ideas were generated, of which four are progressing towards minimum viable products, including a solution based on Artificial Intelligence and advanced mathematical techniques, capable of anticipating future financial crises.

In LAB19, participants move from theory to action, applying the multidisciplinary knowledge of their degrees (Computer Engineering, Mathematics and Business Management) to design practical solutions that respond to real business needs. This environment fosters creativity and innovation through a disruptive methodology that breaks away from traditional approaches.

Backed by the Grupo Fuertes Chair of Business Excellence and the University of Murcia, the programme takes place at the El Pozo Alimentación facilities, where participants enjoy a fully immersive experience in an environment that combines cutting-edge technology with business reality.
