Procavi, the turkey production company which owns the Turkey Lovers brand and member of Grupo Fuertes, has fulfilled the demanding requirements for the Hygiene and Control Protocols certification as awarded by Applus+, helping prevent COVID-19 infections and outbreaks within the company.

Generally speaking, companies have been implementing their own protocols to combat the spread of the disease, but with this Applus+ certification, Procavi goes one step further, developing a system based on directives and good practices carried out by both national and international public and private organisations which was then audited by an external company.

The certification process considers many aspects related to the working environment and the facilities, basic hygiene measures, technology, the company’s organisational structure, employee measurement and access control measures. Using all of the above, the company aims to have response protocols activated at all times in order to counter the risks associated with coronavirus, which have been specially adapted to the food industry for Procavi.

The company has achieved certification in Hygiene and Control Protocols from Applus+ after an exhaustive analysis of the measures set in place and their continued check until they fully complied with the framework established by the certifying entity. Once the protocols were validated, Applus+ carried out an in situ audit of the company’s facilities and analysed the effective introduction of all of the initiatives that had to be developed.

The certificate is valid for one year and is a tool that not only gives employees the peace and mind that they are working in the best possible conditions, but that also builds further confidence between the human team, its clients and providers, minimising the company’s risk.
