The products were distributed among charities.

 

The agri-food companies which form part of Grupo Fuertes donated 354,140 kilos of food and water last year to different charities, including Food Banks of the Region of Murcia and Albacete, Jesús Abandonado, Proyecto Hombre and the therapeutic centre Las Flotas, in Alhama, Murcia. They also supported those affected by the torrential rain last December in the coastal towns of the Mar Menor in Murcia.

This initiative aims to alleviate the most pressing needs of the underprivileged and helps to cover the high food demand of the social entities which help them.

As well as donating food, the companies which make up Grupo Fuertes take part in initiatives aimed at improving the surroundings where they undertake their business activity, on a social, environmental and economic level.

The holding Company is committed to the integration of disabled people into the workplace via the Once Foundation’s Integra programme. In addition, it supports the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (Feder), and makes economic contributions to other institutions including the Spanish Association against Cancer, the World Food Programme of the UN, Cáritas and Acción Contra el Hambre.
